Parting Shot: Cook, Eat & Float
It’s called the Barbecue Dining Boat (for good reason), and it holds up to 10 adults. Everyone can be seated around a 24 in. diameter steel charcoal grill, which is surrounded by a table with 10 place settings that each have a recessed plate holder, three beverage holders (this is a thirsty crew!), and a silverware tray.
The 11-ft. diameter umbrella can be retracted when the grill is in use. A 30-watt electric motor propels the boat at 2.5 miles an hour; four rechargeable batteries provide up to eight hours of continuous use.
The hull is made of polyethylene, and the boat has an 11-ft., 9-in. diameter and a height of 9 ft., 2 in. Now for the kicker: It can be yours for only $50,000 if you call Hammacher Schlemmer at (800) 227-3528.
