Brown Jordan Appoints New Division President

Friday, April 11, 2014, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Brown Jordan, the leading manufacturer of luxury outdoor furnishings, announced the appointment of James B. Hardy, Jr. to Division president of Brown Jordan Company. He will lead initiatives to further develop the company's brand strategy and its agenda for market expansion domestically and internationally. Recognized as a skilled executive in the global luxury business, Hardy has a proven ability to drive brand strategies for premium lifestyle brands in the U.S., U.K., and Europe, including 25 years with Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation where he advanced to senior vice-president/head of Stores.

Hardy began his career with Brooks Brothers in New York City, followed by a position as Merchandising manager at the Madison Avenue Polo Ralph Lauren Store. Subsequently, he advanced to positions as a top decision-maker at Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation, leading aggressive expansion initiatives for European Flagship Stores, Polo Retail Corporation and Ralph Lauren Rugby. Prior to coming on board with Brown Jordan, he was president of Jack Wills, a fast-growing British fashion label.

Hardy was educated at the Deerfield Academy and received a B.A. at Connecticut College. He will be based in Brown Jordan International's corporate office located in St. Augustine, Florida.
