First-of-its-Kind
Backyard Living Retail Concept

Tuesday, June 10, 2014, SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

One of the most respected and successful names in the pool, spa, patio and backyard living industry is diving back in the water and launching a new retail experience store with Jacuzzi Brands, featuring exceptional and functional backyard living spaces that include the benefits of hot tub living.

David Ghiz, one of the former owners of Paddock Pools – a nationally recognized pool and backyard living specialty retailer that grew to 15 local stores and five more in Las Vegas before the Ghiz family sold it in 2005 – is launching Imagine Backyard Living, a 15,000 sq. ft. showroom where shoppers can see, touch and feel complete backyard living spaces in six custom vignettes.

Each vignette will feature a Jacuzzi Hot Tub or Sundance Spa, along with backyard kitchens, fireplaces, patio furniture, entertainment centers, bars, outdoor cooling systems, landscaping and more. From Mediterranean to Cape Cod, each space will have a different design theme appealing to a variety of consumer interests.

The showroom will also display more than two dozen spas and hot tubs priced for every budget. The showroom is located east of the Scottsdale Quarter at 15551 N. Greenway-Hayden Loop and will open on June 14.

Imagine Backyard Living will also feature “The ImagineNation Center,” a design room that will allow customers to work with designers to create and customize their backyard living spaces. Using 3D software and technology, customers can see how their own backyard will look and make changes as needed – before making final decisions on design, finishes and materials.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to experience the therapy, relaxation and health benefits only Jacuzzi Hot Tubs and Sundance Spas provide in private Test Soak Experience rooms, complete with towels, robes and disposable swim suits. The spas are equipped with sound systems that are compatible with Bluetooth, allowing shoppers to listen to their favorite entertainment while they test soak.

“The backyard is an extension of the home where entertaining and family gatherings take place year-round,” said David Ghiz. “We’re seeing more and more consumers recognizing the benefits and value of creating enjoyable backyard living spaces without investing in the high cost of buying and maintaining a pool. Our designers can turn any backyard, in most any budget, small or large, into an inviting, functional and comfortable space that could quickly become the most popular room in the home.”

Imagine Backyard Living is partnering with some of the industry’s most respected companies. The center is the exclusive dealer and service center for Jacuzzi Hot Tubs and Sundance Spas in Phoenix, and is also partnering with Creative Environments Design and Landscape, Blue Water Pool Chemical Co., Today’s Patio Furniture and Décor, MistAmerica and US Grass and Greens of Phoenix – all long-time Phoenix experts in their field.

“I am very proud of the team of people and companies who will be working with me and the partnerships we’ve put together to create Imagine Backyard Living,” added Ghiz. “These are the top people and brands in the industry that, together, will create and foster a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. We provide the customer resources to do everything in one place – explore, experience, design and finalize.”

Come June 14, Imagine Backyard Living will be open from 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday, 12 pm to 5 pm on Sunday or by appointment anytime.
