Maxitrol Announces Promotions

Friday, October 10, 2014, SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN

Maxitrol Company, an international manufacturer of gas pressure regulators and electronic gas modulation systems, has appointed Tony Beauvais to the newly created position of quality and production/engineering manager, and Scott Slomski to assistant plant manager, Blissfield Division.

Tony Beauvais is now responsible for the management and implementation of new testing and manufacturing technologies at all Maxitrol production facilities. He will continue to lead Maxitrol’s Quality Department.

“As quality manager for the past three years, Tony has worked closely with the Quality, Engineering, Production and Tooling Departments to implement improvements in supplier goods, Maxitrol produced components, and finished products,” said Bonnie Kern-Koskela, Maxitrol Company president and CEO. “His efforts have resulted in a direct improvement in the company’s relationships with customers and suppliers alike, as well as an increase in production productivity levels throughout the company.”

“In the three years I’ve worked at Maxitrol, I have had the opportunity to work with talented individuals across all departments,” said Beauvais. “We will continue to work diligently on producing a quality product, and I look forward to my additional responsibilities, promoting a team-orientated focus and increasing throughput.”

Beauvais received a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Production Engineering Technology from Central Michigan University.

In his new role as assistant plant manager, Blissfield Division, Scott Slomski will work closely with plant manager Don Bohlka on all production planning activities at Blissfield. He will continue to head Maxitrol’s Tooling Department and be involved with existing production equipment and processes at all locations.

“Scott joined Maxitrol at the Blissfield Division in May of 1989,” said vice president of Manufacturing Ivin Riddle. “He soon became a toolmaker and, in 2008, Scott was promoted to manufacturing engineering manager. With his experience in the many production processes, Scott is extremely well prepared for his new duties.”

“It is my belief,” said Slomski, “that surrounding yourself with good people is an important factor in achieving your goals. The culture here at Maxitrol certainly reflects that. I’m looking forward to my new responsibilities, as well as building new relationships that continue to contribute to the company’s success.”

Slomski has a certification for Tool and Die making, and he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Technologies from Siena Heights University.
