Travis Industries’ AGP Pellet Stove/Insert
Are Extremely Clean-burning

Friday, October 10, 2014, MUKILTEO, WASHINGTON

Both the Lopi and Avalon AGP pellet stoves and inserts are already known as the most reliable pellet appliances on the market. They are easy to own, easy to live with and easy to maintain. Now they are officially certified by the EPA as some of the cleanest-burning pellet appliances on the planet.

The AGP freestanding stove is EPA certified at only 0.67 grams/hr, while the AGP insert is certified at just 0.66 grams/hr. These outstanding emissions rates not only meet, but surpass, the particulate emission limit of 7.5 grams/hr, so you can feel good about burning these appliances in your home.

In some states it really pays off to purchase an AGP pellet appliance. For the remainder of 2014, Oregon state citizens can earn up to $288 in state tax credit with the purchase of the AGP pellet stove or insert, through the Oregon Department of Energy.

Residents of the state of New York can also receive up to $1,500 through NYSERDA with the purchase of an AGP stove or insert, as long as their home is not being serviced by natural gas.

In New York, households with an income of less than 80 percent of the county median may qualify for an incentive of $1,000 for the purchase of a new pellet stove in a primary residence, and an additional $500 if an existing wood or pellet stove is recycled.

It is important to note that these appliances will achieve low smoke outputs and high efficiencies as long as they are properly operated and maintained. Both the AGP stove and insert have a 78 percent efficiency value. This is because they were not tested for efficiency and the 78 percent value is a default efficiency applied by the EPA to non-catalytic pellet heaters.
