Anacara Company & Greenington
Form a Partnership

Thursday, September 3, 2015

The agreement reached between these companies merged the quality manufacturing of the premier Bamboo Furniture manufacturer with the Specialty Store and Furniture Retail Distribution focus of the Anacara Company. For the past 12 years Greenington has been manufacturing the highest quality indoor Bamboo Furniture, selling to all channels of indoor furniture retailing. The transition to outdoor products was jump-started earlier this year through the partnership with Anacara.

Seven years ago Anacara transitioned away from its Teakwood business, as quality product availability and market saturation expanded.  Earlier this year Anacara president Salvatore Carrara reached out to Greenington to discuss the potential of the now-formed relationship.

“After the first meeting I recognized that the quality level of the Greenington manufacturing was exceptional,” explain’s Carrara. “Having been in the outdoor wood business from 1994 to 2007, transitioning back has been seamless. The soft introduction at the July pre-market started many customers realizing that the Sustainable Factor is a very important sales tool in the wood category to today’s informed consumer.

Greenington’s president and founder Yang Lin was manufacturing high- quality bamboo products for over 20 years before he entered the business of creating his own line of high-quality solid bamboo furniture in 2004. Because of his expertise in working with the planet’s most eco-friendly, rapidly-renewable resource, Greenington’s fine bamboo furniture has quickly risen to the top of the industry, and is known for its enduring beauty, style and quality.

“This is the first bamboo outdoor furniture line to be introduced by Greenington after many years of development,” said Yang Lin. “We are pleased to work with Anacara Company to promote this sustainable bamboo outdoor furniture.”

Market attendees are invited to stop by to see all of the newest innovative designs and collections at the company’s Chicago Showroom on the 16th floor at the  Merchandise Mart, which will be open daily from 8am to 7pm.
