Summer Classics to Open Future Concept Home Store in Chicago

Leading furniture brands Summer Classics and Gabby will combine in a new luxury concept store in Chicago called SC Home on March 4, 2016.
“You’ve never seen anything like this,” says CEO Bew White. “We are obsessed with design, and relentless attention to detail.”
Creative director Chris Hutchens said, “We manufacture our furniture from concept to sale. I am sure everyone will find a design that resonates no matter what his or her sense of style. Gabby offers classic and transitional styles that are fashion forward and never grow old.”
New licensee and store manager Bruce Erickson has an extensive history selling luxury outdoor furniture, including the Summer Classics brand. He has been general manager and buyer for a prominent Chicago retailer for the past 17 years. He has served on the retail council of the ICFA, and most recently on its Executive Board. This experience, combined with a 10-year history as a sales representative for several high-end outdoor furniture manufacturers, makes Erickson one of Summer Classics’ most seasoned new licensees.
He is looking forward to this opportunity, and said, “I have admired Summer Classics’ history and Bew’s vision for his company for over 20 years. The product works. I have offered it to customers for years.”
