Cabretta Table Top from Tropitone.

Tropitone Debuts Two New Table Collections

Friday, January 22, 2016

Tropitone Furniture Company has introduced Cabretta, a new collection of table tops, and the addition of wedge tables to the cast table line.

Transitional in style, Cabretta Table Tops look like leather and are available in a Dark Chocolate or Weathered Gray finish. Eight top sizes are compatible with Tropitone’s new universal 5000 series bases. By pairing one of the tops with any of the matching bases, customers can create large or small dining tables, counter height tables, or accessory tables.

Cabretta Table Tops feature a rounded square or rectangle shape. “Radiused sides on the square tops not only create a unique style, but also provide more elbow room,” says Brian Mehler, director of Design. The arc of the sides of the table top and sculpted edges orient people toward each other, inviting conversation and creating an unrestricted, friendly setting. Larger Cabretta Table Tops feature an island, a design element in the center of the top that creates visual interest.

Made of glass-reinforced polymer, Cabretta Table Tops are durable and stable, and will last through years of outdoor use. The finish is applied in the mold and then the glass-reinforced polymer is added, bonding the finish to the table and preventing fading from the sun. Frank Verna, director of Sales and Business Development, explains that, “Tropitone is capitalizing on the ability to manufacture table tops in the United States, which has led to a more innovative and attractive design that is more durable than any prior Tropitone table top.”

Tropitone is also broadening its successful cast offering by introducing new wedge tables. The wedge tables create a more intimate chat setting, since chairs will naturally be angled toward each other along the sides of the table. The tapered end tables are available in the exclusive Tropitone Garden Terrace or Spectrum designs with any of the Tropitone finishes.
