Brown Jordan Enters Strategic Licensing Partnership with G.A. Gertmenian

Monday, March 21, 2016

Brown Jordan has entered into a license agreement with G. A. Gertmenian, a fourth generation importer and wholesaler of accent and area rugs, to produce a collection of fine quality rugs for indoors or out.

The inaugural collection will consist of six designs in multiple colorways and sizes. Made in Belgium on precision looms, the all-weather performance rugs are constructed using a specialized cabled yarn system to achieve enhanced texture and depth of color. The durable 100 percent polypropylene yarns feature UV stabilization to resist fading and are also resistant to stains, mildew and shedding.

“We are excited to partner with G. A. Gertmenian on our newest collection, with a focus on sophisticated, timeliness designs and expert quality,” said Steve Elton, Brown Jordan’s SVP Sales & Branding.

“The Brown Jordan Rugs collection emphasizes texture, clean lines and rich colorations. Our goal is to complement today’s trends in outdoor living with rugs of superior quality that perform in the harshest outdoor environments, yet are soft and elegant enough to be used anywhere in the home,” adds Peter Gertmenian, executive vice president, G. A. Gertmenian.

The collection will debut this week at the New York Home Fashions Market and will be available through select retailers, Brown Jordan trade showrooms, Brown Jordan retail stores and G. A. Gertmenian distribution channels.
