Tuesday, April 12, 2016

The Design Center at the Merchandise Mart is excited to announce the opening of Emerald Home Furnishings’ first showroom exclusively dedicated  to outdoor furniture. Emerald Outdoor has leased Suite 16-116 at the Mart and will offer a comprehensive assortment of sling, woven, cast iron and wood furniture collections, as well as fire pits, mixed media goods, and fabrics from Sunbrella and other performance fabric suppliers.

“Emerald Home Furnishings has been a fixture in the furniture industry since the early 1960s and we’re excited they chose to open their first outdoor furnishings showroom in Chicago,” said Byron Morton, vice president, Vornado I the Mart. “Emerald realizes that Chicago is the place to reach the top casual specialty retailers in the U.S. and we are thrilled to welcome them to the Mart.

“I’m excited we have committed to the Merchandise Mart and the Casual Furniture Industry as this is the next logical step for our outdoor furniture division. We have grown significantly in a short period of time and our permanent showroom will assure our continued growth. I look forward to meeting new dealers in Chicago and showing them all we have to offer,” says David Beckmann president, Emerald Home Furnishings.
