SC Promotes Schon Duke

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Summer Classics has promoted Schon Duke to vice president of Sales for both Gabby and Summer Classics. Duke joined Summer Classics in April 2015 as VP of Sales for Summer Classics Wholesale Division. In 2015, Duke’s teams:

  • Launched multiple designer-friendly programs that increased marketshare in this channel.
  • He has reconfigured sales teams and territories, which has resulted in exponential sales growth, thus increasing the customer base of both designer and dealer accounts since Jan. 1, 2016.
  • Restructured our annual National Sales Meeting and Garden Party Event, increasing attendance and engagement.
  • He launched a new “Essentials Program” with a commitment to have all Essentials products in stock in season.

Schon came to SC with 25 years of experience in the high-end furniture industry at Maitland Smith and Theodore Alexander. His wealth of experience and contacts is greatly aiding the company’s salesforce in getting to the right buyer at the right time.

“I am proud of Schon’s performance for this past year and am looking forward to what he has in store. With Schon overseeing both brands, we expect to gain momentum. With his plan to standardize forms and procedures between both brands, as well as uncover horizontal marketing opportunities, we expect even more growth,” said Bew White, president of Summer Classics Companies.

Schon currently lives in Winston-Salem and is planning on moving to Birmingham with his family this summer.

“The Gabby team is incredible. I look forward to building synergies between our efforts. It has been an honor to work with such a strong sales team. I believe our sales team is the best in the industry,” said Schon Duke.
