In Memoriam
Brian Joseph O'Brien

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Brian O'Brien, age 86 of Plymouth, Minnesota, died accidentally at home on Sunday, May 15. He was preceded in death by his son Danny and parents Edward and Molly O'Brien, and survived by the love of his life for 63 years, his wife Donna. He was the loving father of seven, and adoring grandfather of nine children, and he was soon to be a great-grandfather.

Brian was a purple heart veteran of the Korean war, and executive vice president and loyal 52-year employee of Hoigaards, Inc. In that capacity, he was an active member of the Casual Furniture Retailers association and, in 2003, was honored with one of the first Lifetime Achievement awards given by the casual furniture association. Those who knew Brian remember him fondly as a very smart, soft-spoken gentleman who was a pleasure to be around.

He was a dedicated member of Holy Name since 1964. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am, Wednesday, May 18 at Holy Name of Jesus of Medina. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, Tuesday, May 17, at the Washburn-McReavy Chapel, Eden Prairie – (952) 975-0400.
