Leisure Distributors Receives
Big Green Egg Sales Award

Thursday, March 16, 2017

Leisure Distributors, Evansville, Indiana, just received the Big Green Egg company’s year-over-year top sales increase award. The Big Green Egg recently held its annual sales conference for both the U.S. distributors as well as distributors representing over 50 countries around the world.

The Big Green Egg is the world’s leading supplier of ceramic grills and smokers. It’s the industry-leading backyard cooker and is also used in many restaurants in the United States and Europe because of its ability to maintain moisture, smoke flavor, and temperature control.

The Green Egg company was founded by Ed Fisher in Tucker, Georgia, in the mid-1970s. The Egg is a modern version of kamado-style clay cookers developed by the Japanese approximately 4,000 years ago. It’s designed to use natural lump charcoal for fuel.

Leisure Distributors is a division of Bassemier’s Fireplace, Patio, and Spas which was founded by John & Diane Bassemier in 1968 in a one-car garage at their home in Evansville. Leisure Distributors supplies Big Green Eggs and related products and accessories to a large variety of retailers, including hardware stores, lawn & garden shops, meat markets, swimming pool & spa stores, and others throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Southern Illinois.
