Woodard Names 2017
Top Sales Award Winners

Friday, August 11, 2017

Woodard, known for their quality craftsmanship in iron, aluminum, and all-season wicker outdoor furniture and accessories, saluted its top Salesman of the Year and Sales Achievement Award recipients for 2017 at the company’s recent Sales Recognition Dinner held in Chicago.

The Woodard 2017 Salesman of the Year award was presented to the father-son team of Jay and Jason Vander Horst. Jay has been with Woodard for 12 years and his son, Jason, officially joined Jay in January. This is Jay’s third time being recognized with the Salesman of the Year award.

The Vander Horsts provide sales, superior dealer support and service to retailers, specialty stores and designers throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. When asked which was their top selling collection that added to this success they quickly said it was Cortland.

Don Heisley.

Don Heisley received the Sales Achievement Award for 2017 for his outstanding sales volume and accomplishment of his sales goals. Heisley, who has represented Woodard for 32 years, covers Georgia, South Carolina and North Florida. This is his second time being recognized for significantly increasing the company’s business in this important outdoor territory. Heisley has seen significant growth in the casual aluminum market in his territory over the last year.

“We are very fortunate to have many top sales reps, men and women who are dedicated brand ambassadors for Woodard. Selecting a single recipient for each of these awards was difficult, many had numbers that were very close,” said Belinda Lavender, Woodard’s vice president of Sales and Marketing. “We congratulate Jay, Jason and Don for their outstanding efforts in not only sharing and supporting Woodard with their customers throughout their territories, but for also setting a wonderful example for all of our other sales reps to follow.”
