Tiny Homes Get a Resort of Their Own

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

By Kathleen Brown, Builder

Think BIG! A Tiny House Resort in South Cairo, N.Y., is debuting four additional luxury tiny home designs by Wisconsin-based tiny home builder ESCAPE Homes -- the Vista, One, Traveler XL, and Vintage XL.

Located on 28 acres in the mid-Hudson Valley, Think BIG! is two hours outside Manhattan and a quick drive from Hudson, Catskill, Woodstock, and Saugerties. The tiny RV homes are situated on a cliff that overlooks Catskill Creek, in a scenic area known for its waterfalls and swimming holes.

Despite their tiny size, each home features a flexible floor plan and generous window panorama. Queen-size beds, full-size appliances, and luxury bathrooms are found inside, while a private patio with a dining table, Weber grill, and fireplace is found outside.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with the folks at Think BIG!,” says ESCAPE Homes founder, Dan Dobrowolski. “They’re revolutionizing the concept that you can vacation large by going small.”

Think BIG! hosts yoga, kayaking, and games, and offers visitors WiFi, cable, and a lending library. A personal raw food chef prepares meals for visitors using produce grown at the resort. In addition, the resort is dog-friendly, featuring a dog park and outdoor dog wash dubbed the “Laundromutt.”
