Brown Jordan Taps Kennedy as Divisional President

Thursday, September 13, 2018

Brown Jordan International, a leader in luxury furniture design, has named David Kennedy a divisional president of Brown Jordan.

Kennedy will lead Brown Jordan’s sales team, while being an integral member of senior leadership to help execute the brand’s new strategic vision.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Kennedy most recently served as vice president of contract for Design Within Reach and concurrently served as vice president of retail for Herman Miller. Prior to that, Kennedy was regional director for North America at DEDON.

“Brown Jordan is one of the most storied American furniture brands,” Kennedy said. “It’s an exciting time at Brown Jordan, and I’m honored to help lead the brand back to its rightful place as the author of the outdoor experience and a leader in innovation and aesthetic.”

“David is a key member of the leadership team as we’re poised to take Brown Jordan to the next level,” said Gene Moriarty, president and CEO, Brown Jordan International. “Our new strategic vision is to regain our roots as an authentic, luxury brand, while showcasing design that enables people to enjoy life’s moments.”

Kennedy also serves as industry chair on the national board of directors of the American Society of Interior Designers and is a corporate advocate for Be Original America, an organization committed to educating the design industry on the value of authenticity.
