Cast Classics Announces Second Ever Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Cast Classics has awarded Joseph Long of Richboro, Pennsylvania, its second ever Lifetime Achievement award. The honors were recently bestowed by David and Daphna Arad, founders of Cast Classics, at a small restaurant in the quaint town of New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Joe joined Cast Classics in 1997, first as part of a Parkman Rep Group, but eventually he broke off on his own, never missing a step and winning several “Rep of the Year” awards along the way.

“Joe was one of the most incredible salesman we have ever had,” said Al Arad, president of Cast Classics. “He has always put the right product in the right places, and made the customers feel good about what they were buying. Every meeting with Joe always included several good laughs and left you wanting more,” added Arad.

“His customers are the most loyal accounts I have ever seen, both to him and to us,” said Charles Emmons of Cast Classics. “It is a testament to Joe and proof that these people are more than just customers to him, they are also his friends.

Joe “hung up his sword,” or more appropriately, his order pad and retired at the end of this past season after a long and successful career. “We were sorry to see him retire, but understand it is time for him to now do what he loves even more than patio furniture, and that is spending time at home enjoying his grandkids. I am just disappointed that he will not get to ride this next wave of success we are experiencing. It is like the old times again and I know Joe would be enjoying every second of it,” said Emmons. “Everyone in the Cast Classics family, from management down to production, extends their genuine thanks to Joe for his 20+ years of excellent performance for our customers and our company. We wish him all the best on his retirement and will miss working with him.”

Edward Field has taken over Joe’s territory for Cast Classics, which was Southern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, along with Upstate New York. Ed has worked in the furniture industry for over 30 years, starting out as an owner of an office furniture/design business in Central Pennsylvania.

Ed has developed a career as an Independent manufacturers’ representative, focusing on retail home furnishings as well as the Hospitality & Design industry for the Northeast, U.S. for both indoor and outdoor. His daughter Farrah joined his business eight years ago, adding a young, aggressive style and techno advantage to their business.
