HPBA Pacific Affiliate to Hold August Training & Business Seminar

Friday, May 31, 2019

There will be two 2-day, hands-on gas technical training events to serve industry members in the Pacific region. One will be held in West Sacramento, California, on August 13 & 14. The other will take place in Ontario, California, on August 20 and 21.

Both events will be taught by hearth industry veteran trainer Bob Wise. Wise has over three decades in the hearth, chimney, HVAC, plumbing, and gas-fired appliance career. Early in his career, he worked for SoCalGas. Wise went on to be a trainer with several manufacturers of hearth products.

On August 19, the day preceding the Southern California 2-day technical training, a full day of business and marketing classes will be held at the same Ontario location. “The day is chock full with seven sessions a business owner or manager should attend,” says Pat Rosengren, HPBA’s executive director.

The classes include meeting hiring challenges, adding to the Outdoor Room, government regulations threatening retail business, and social media strategies. There’s even a presentation by an advisor with advice for those interested in buying or selling a business.
