Industrial Chimney/ICC Makes Key Management Changes

Thursday, January 17, 2019

Industrial Chimney Company/ICC, the St. Jerome, Québec, based manufacturer of ICC venting and RSF and Renaissance woodburning fireplaces, has promoted six of its key people to new top management positions.

Daniel Laviolette, formerly director of Production, is ICC’s new President. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA, Laviolette joined ICC in 1998 also serving as R&D engineer, IT manager, and assistant Production manager during those 21 years. Most recently as director of Production, he oversaw operation of ICC’s 110,000 sq. ft. plant and 200 employees.

“The values and approach to business of ICC are the same ones I hold close,” says Laviolette. “My vision for ICC is continued growth through innovation, building superior products, and never losing sight of the importance of our employees and the close relationship we have with our business partners.”

Dan Bonar, former director of Residential Sales and Marketing, and son of ICC co-founder and former ICC vice president Ray Bonar, has been promoted to vice president of ICC’s Residential Division.

Steve Rea, former ICC Sales manager and son of ICC co-founder and former ICC president Doug Singer, has been promoted to vice president of ICC’s Industrial Division.

Jean-François Houle, a 16-year ICC veteran and formerly assistant Production director, has been promoted to ICC director of Production replacing Laviolette.

Doug Singer and Ray Bonar will remain with ICC as members of ICC’s newly-founded Board of Directors. “Doug and I have always had a vision for where ICC was headed, and this new generation has the skills and outlook on our industry to make it happen,” said Ray Bonar.
