Operation BBQ Relief Update:
Deployment to Nashville

Thursday, March 5, 2020

Our team is set up in Nashville at Nissan Stadium. We were able to get 1700 meals out into the field yesterday to hard hit areas of East Nashville, Mt Juliet, and Lebanon. Our team partnered with the local Famous Dave’s franchise, Peg Leg Porker, and Martin’s BBQ to get the meals out.

Our equipment arrived last night along with our supplies. We are projecting approximately 7500 meals will go out today. We will be working with Lowe’s in Hermitage, Mt Juliet, Lebanon and Cookeville.

Cookeville was hit hard by the tornado and is on the east end of the path. We will be setting up a second site in Cookeville by the weekend. With both locations we will work to service the East Nashville and Cookeville and the communities in between. We have gotten the word out in the communities on how to order meals. We anticipate the number of meals needed will continue to climb through the weekend.

We need your help to spread the message that we need donations and volunteers. See our social media for posts on these needs.
